Munchkins of Mayhem - Guild Charter

Guild Charter

The Munchkins of Mayhem are the smallest people of Norrath who have experienced opression and certain experiences.

The reason is because we are little people (Dwarves, Gnomes, and Halflings). For years we have been ignored and made fun of by the larger races. The larger ones think that because of our short stature, we cannot engage in battle as well.

The largest races in Norrath (Trolls & Ogres), actually hunt our races and enjoy eating our slayed brethren. They aren't fully developed though and they are far too stupid to realize that we are able to accomplish much much more than they could ever dream of. They can't even defeat a God when their entire population bands together.

The medium races are usually nice to us, some even genuinely kind. But the majority of Humans, Elves, and such simply feel that they are superior to us. They make jokes about us, and only praise our fighting skills when we save their worthless hides.

For these reasons and more, some of us small folk have decided to band together with each other. We can enjoy the company of those who are like us, and understand our magnificance. For the small folk have the ability through classes and skills, to go anywhere and defeat any being (mortal or immortal). We are set on proving the big and dumb ones wrong. We shall make our mark on Norrath, and whisperings of our mighty alliance shall be heard everywhere.

Here is how this guild got started, and why...

I have helped start two guilds on the Luclin server since I began playing this game, and I learn something new each time. The first guild I became Leader of was back in about June. Anyway, when I started on Luclin it was a new server.
I saw it go from a great new place to live, to a place where every person on the server was super twinked.

I'm not saying that twinking is not allowed here, in fact I will probably do it when I get the chance. What I am saying is that it is refreshing to see a place where everyone is trying to get somewhere the way the game was designed to play. We all will start equally, with no unfair advantages.

Also, after being leader of a guild set on becoming powerful, you start to realize a few things. It is hard work and serious business. You buy this game to get away from the stress of real life, and to enjoy your free time - explore your inner child Anway, when you get caught up in using all your time to level and you must have the best of the best armor, well you may begin to feel frustrated, or stressed out. In other words you stop having as much fun.

It is fun to be original, which is why we (Scaric and I) wanted to start a short guild, and is also why I like to get different visible armor, heehee. But its important to never let this game become stressful. Stop and smell the roses. Play because you get to see new things and meet new people. The camaraderie in this game is like no other. I have met many great friends throughout EQ, Scaric being one of them. He was the leader of a guild on Luclin also, we both felt the same way.

  • When you make decisions not everyone will like them, this is bound to happen, please don't let it come between us - its just a game.
  • When one person has all the responsibilites, it adds too much stress, and takes away from the fun - so we intend on spreading duties far and wide.
  • When you're too lenient on who joins your guild, you don't end up with the kind of people you enjoy, and good members leave - which is why we intend to be picky when recruiting.
  • When leaders don't lay down the rules and make some decisions on their own, the indecisiveness can give a feeling of no leadership.
  • And most important, when you don't stop fighting and recruiting to screw around and talk with guildbros, you're missing the point to playing EQ.

These are just a few lessons we have learned over the last year, and we intend on having a great guild full of friendly, mature individuals where having fun is the main priority.

P.S. I still think we can be very self-sufficient, and we have every intention of raiding the planes one day.
